Thanks, today’s writing on forest bathing was really nice. I feel like there may be forms of forest bathing I’ve been doing for years and didn’t know it. I also think there might be “forest wading” when you take a dog for a walk or a child out for a hike. But these attachments/responsibilities prevent you from fully “bathing” and turning on all your senses to the magnified degree they can be. I also like your stone in hand. I often pick up a stick, a pinecone, or stone and feel it in my hand hiking. I may not bring it home, but it is part of my connection as I wander through the forest. I will plan a more immerses tree bathing soon, thanks to your post today. Thanks!

Forest wading!! Brilliant. I could not agree more. I hike with my dog and friends and do feel the senses are not fully engaging. Me being honest, even bringing my phone with me dulls my senses because I'm subliminally on the look out for something to photograph. Thank you for allowing me to make that connection. May you find peace wherever your feet hit the ground today.
